NIO launches NIO ET5

On the evening of December 18th, NIO held NIO Day 2021 in Suzhou. The second car of NIO ET5 has been officially released. The new car is expected to be positioned as a medium-sized luxury car with a price of about 300,000 yuan, and competing products are aimed at Tesla Model 3 and Xiaopeng P7. ET5 is positioned below ET7 and will be smaller than ET7. The appearance of the new car will inherit the iconic X-Bar front face design of NIO. LED daytime running lights and headlights adopt a split design. Like the Tesla Model 3, the ET5 has a coupe-like body design, with a slackback rear that gives the new car a more sporty feel. However, compared to the Model 3, the ET5 is larger in size and is expected to be similar to the Xiaopeng P7. The rear seat space will not be as compact as the Model 3. In the design of the rear, the rear window is also in the state of inward, as far as possible to reduce the wind resistance, the tail smooth streamline. The design of the whole tail is quite simple. The taillights are designed to run through the whole tail, with a straight line running through the whole tail without redundant lines. The entire rear door has a hatchback design, which allows for easy loading of larger items. In line with NiO's strategy, the ET5 will also be equipped with lidar and NAD autonomous driving assistance technology. The theme of NIO Day is "Hello World", which means to embrace the changing World with an open and inclusive attitude.
