Nissan plans to build solar farms in the UK

Construction of the new plant is about to begin and will be completed by May 2022, Nissan said.
When completed, the new solar plant will double the amount of renewable energy used by Nissan's Sunderland plant to 20 per cent of its total demand.

Nissan said the UK was providing support for the plan.
