Steel pipes are divided into seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes. The production process of seamless steel pipe is to thread the solid billet or ingot into a hollow rough pipe, and then roll it into a steel pipe of the required size. Different perforation and pipe rolling methods constitute different methods for producing seamless steel pipe. The production process of welded steel pipe is to bend the pipe blank (steel plate or strip steel) into a tube, and then weld the gap into a steel pipe. Due to different forming and welding methods, different methods for producing welded steel pipes are formed.
Seamless
steel pipes are mainly produced by hot rolling. Extrusion method is mainly used to produce low plasticity high alloy steel pipe or special-shaped steel pipe and composite metal pipe which are difficult to pierce. Cold rolling and cold drawing methods can continue to process hot-rolled pipes into small-diameter and thin-walled steel pipes. Welded steel pipe has the advantages of simple process, high production efficiency, low cost and increasing product variety(steel pipe)
