The accumulative sales volume of China's auto industry is estimated to have reached 3.955 million units, up 76.8% year on year
China's auto industry is expected to sell 3.955 million vehicles in January-February 2021, up 76.8% year on year, the Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAM) said on Friday, based on its statistics on key enterprises.
From January to February, in terms of segment models, China's passenger vehicle sales increased by 69.4 percent year on year, while commercial vehicle sales increased by 80 percent.
Meanwhile, in February 2021, the sales volume of China's auto industry is expected to reach 1.452 million units, down 42% month-on-month and up 3.7 times year-on-year.
In terms of segment models, China's passenger vehicle sales rose 3.7 times year on year in February, while commercial vehicle sales rose 2.2 times.
It is worth noting that China's domestic auto market has returned to the growth track since January 2021, after 2019 and 2020 started with a decline in January for two consecutive years.Previous statistics showed that in January 2021, China's domestic auto production and sales increased 34.6 percent and 29.5 percent, respectively, year on year.
According to the analysis of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, on the whole, China's automobile market still has great potential, and the automobile consumer demand will accelerate the recovery. Electric, intelligent, networked and digitized will also vigorously promote the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry.China's auto market is expected to recover strongly in 2021.
